TO: Department and Agency Personnel, Human Resource and Affirmative Action Offices FROM: James W. Sever, Director of Staffing Services SUBJECT: New Transaction Codes for Certain Separations Effective immediately, we are adding the following payroll transaction codes to more clearly describe the reason for separation of non-permanent employees: LIST TERM - This transaction code should be used to report the separation of a non-permanent employee as the result of the certification of an eligible list (promotion, transition or open-competitive list). REEMP TERM - This transaction code should be used to report the separation of a non-permanent employee as the result of the certification of a reemployment list (redeployment list, preferred list, reemployment roster, placement roster). Where the affected employee is being removed from the agency or from the State service as a result of the termination, the appropriate new code would be used in Box 07 on the Group II payroll form PR-75. Where the affected employee will be retained in the agency in another position, the primary code on the Group I payroll form PR-75 would be REM APPT in Block 07, with the appropriate new code in Block 50, along with the effective date in Block 49. The effective date of the appointment should be in Block 51 and the appointment code, such as REIN LV, in Block 52. Please call Employment Records at (518) 457-3780 if you have questions about using these codes. Return to Top ^ |
