SUBJECT: Fees for Laboratory Services


The Employee Health Service will begin charging a fee for laboratory services for all preplacement physicals which require laboratory work. The laboratory will bill the individuals tested the $12.50 fee directly. The charge applies only to physicals conducted by EHS.

For appointees from eligible lists, the charge will be plased in gradually with each new examination announcement for a title with medical standards. Appointees to non-competitive and labor class positions and non-list appointees to competitive class positions will be charged beginning April 1, 1986. A list of the titles which currently have medical standards is provided on the back of this memorandum.
